Walter Schulze-Mittendorff

3. Journeyman Years Of Service
>> bio 4: KIevbio04.html

During his four years of apprenticeship, and also as he puts his journeyman craftsmanship to the test now, he is enrolled at the Kunstgewerbe- und Handwerkerschule Berlin (School of Applied Arts and Crafts of the City of Berlin) in Charlottenburg where he takes courses for further studies in nude drawing and in drawing and modelling of ornaments and figures, in daytime and evening classes.

He often walks the distance between the parents' address in Schöneberg and the studio in Steglitz, and to the school in Charlottenburg. All of his life he remained a pedestrian, and he never acquired a driver's licence nor did he ever own a car.
